Solid Rock Products, Inc.
came
to us with a special request. As the manufacturer of
Tuff-SealTM,
a commercial grade tire sealant used for on & off-road vehicles,
they had to come to realize that a 5-gallon bucket and hand pump
just doesn't cut it, when there is a whole fleet of trucks to
treat, each rig having up to 18 wheel positions. They needed an
integrated system, a serious piece of equipment which would
stand up to hard use. We provided them with the capability to
meet the market head-on. Their new equipment should spotlight
the company as not just another product source, but as service
providers, leaders in their field. Today, they offer a full
range of tire services to their customers, no matter where the
vehicles are located.
The above photos
show how one of our patented systems, was installed into one of
their service trucks, a crew cab pickup. They now have a clean
and easy way to dispense their product
directly into pressurized tires, and to adjust the tire pressure
with compressed air or nitrogen.
Their system has bulk transfer
capability for filling the on-board liquid storage tank. The
system included: (a) an air compressor, alongside our
dispenser control panel assembly, both mounted on a single
aluminum base plate in the truck bed, (b) 30-gallon liquid
reservoir, placed behind the front seats, inside the cab, on an
aluminum base plate, (c) liquid feed, vent, and overflow lines
to interconnect the reservoir with control panel, etc., (d)
tank full & empty warning lights, to alert the service
operator, (e) 84-ounce calibrated injection cylinder sight
glass, equipped with a viewing light, for use at night. (f)
other accessories, such as special adaptors, fittings, gages,
and hoses.
Other Applications
1. Concrete trucks
can be equipped to meter plasticizers, and other
additives into the mixers AT THE JOBSITE instead of at the
plant, based on factors such as cure time, unknown waiting time,
and other variables.
2. Chemical
companies can blend concentrates into a batch mix.
3. Safe for use in
hazardous locations. Totally pneumatic versions of
the system are available. In fact, the basic control panel has
always been pneumatic. Only the optional accessory items
(lights, float switches, buzzers, etc.) are electric, but are
not required. It uses manually operated 1/4-turn ball valves
for all of its modes.
4. Custom
Designs. Enhancements/modifications may be added, to
suit your particular needs. Let us design that special system,
whether mobile or stationary. We offer (a) Exclusive
Sales Representation Agreements to customers for whom we
build proprietary equipment, to assure that their competitors
don't show up with duplicate equipment, and (b)
Non-Exclusive Sales Representation Agreements ("Distributor
Agreements") to those in the equipment business who wish
to sell non-licensed versions of our patented systems, and (c)
License Agreements to manufacturers who wish to
produce their own systems, under our patent number.
